The Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. puppy raising group in Boise, Idaho. We are made up of dog lovers of all ages who want to be a part of pairing a blind person with a dog to give them a new kind of freedom. As puppy raisers, we take in an 8 week old puppy to keep for a year and teach house manners, basic obedience, how to behave in public, and give them the self-confidence that they will need to

succeed. Our club meets once a week (every Monday except the first week of the month when we meet for First Thursday) at various locations. This gives us all a chance to ask questions, seek guidance and offer advice. Puppy raising is open to anyone who wants to be involved and we always welcome new prospective raisers to join our meetings! Visit our website for more information.

Teeva, Odie, Chili, and Truly made their way to GDB’s National Barks Oregon Funday over the weekend! GDB went all out this year and our raisers had such a great time.

We also wished Truly farewell after all the festivities as she’s being transferred to a new raiser in Texas who is very excited for her arrival! Pat, Jen, & Emma provided Truly with such a wonderful foundation and we can’t wait to see what her future holds from here!

Welcome the newest addition to our club, Ludo! He is a yellow lab male from the Gladys x Shiloh litter born 4/26/26 and will be raised by Karson Turley. We are already enjoying his sweet face and personality so much!

Maximo, Benito, and Endor went on an outing to Scheels together today! The place was packed with people and lots of other dogs. These boys all did great!

Some of our amazing pups and raisers attended the Greenleaf Car Show to help with recruitment and had a blast doing it!
It was a great opportunity to share GDB’s mission and give the pups a great socialization experience in a fun, busy environment. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello!
