Our hearts are full today. ❤️
A huge thank you to everyone who made last night’s gala and auction such a beautiful success; our staff, volunteers, donors, sponsors, contractors, hotel bellwether and their staff, and every single guest who showed up with generosity and joy. Standing together in that room reminded us exactly why this work matters.

We’ll be sharing the total amount raised later this week, and we can’t wait to celebrate that milestone with you.

Grateful for this community, grateful for this team, and grateful for the impact we’re creating together. 💛

🧠 Summer is almost here — and for most families, unstructured time, transitions, and new routines can be a lot.

😵‍💫 If your household runs on big emotions, last-minute meltdowns, bedtime battles, and days that leave you wondering what just happened — this workshop was made for you.

Wired Differently: A Workshop for Families at Whatcom Family Village is for parents navigating life with a (potentially) neurodivergent brain in the house — whether that’s your child’s, your own, or both. No diagnosis required. Curiosity is enough.

📅 June 27
🕦 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
💰 $55 (sliding scale available)

Neurodivergent brains aren’t broken — they’re wired for intensity, creativity, and deep feeling. But they also need different tools. And you deserve support in learning them.

Led by
Jessica Norman Wells, PhD
Calial McCarty MA LMHC
Tori Harper MOT OTR/L

You’ll leave with:

🛠️ Practical skills and tools to use right away — just in time for summer

🙋 Live Q&A so your real questions get real answers

🤝 Connection with other families who truly understand

🫶 A better understanding of your own brain, and your child’s

If you’re dealing with:
✔️ Defiance & meltdowns
✔️ Distraction & focus challenges
✔️ Social difficulty
✔️ Bedtime & school battles
✔️ Disorganization
✔️ A dysregulated nervous system
✔️ Shame & feeling alone

You are not failing. You are parenting a brain that needs something different — and there’s a whole community ready to figure it out alongside you.
