Brigadoon Service Dogs

Thank you Ari and the wonderful team at Garden Spot Nursery for helping us pick out a couple of plants to brighten up our office! It also worked out that a nursery is a great place for our dogs-in-training! Danny and Searra had so many sights and smells to check out 🌱🪴🐕‍🦺

Great connecting with our partners at First Fed. Check out the lovely article they wrote about Brigadoon Service Dogs!

For someone living with a disability, the right service dog can be a life-changing partner, offering support, greater independence and confidence in everyday life. For more than 20 years, Bellingham-based Brigadoon Service Dogs has been creating those partnerships.

Brigadoon in the Big Apple! 🍎🗽

Vesper and service dog Hope just returned from New York City! Big city, big adventures, and one very good girl right by Vesper’s side through it all.

We love getting updates from our clients, thanks for sharing, Vesper! 🦮

Our first real rainy day of the season has us officially feeling like fall is here! ☔️🍂

So naturally, we had to bring back this throwback of baby Hope in the apple orchard.

Are you ready for fall, or are you hanging onto summer as long as possible?

What a night! 🐾✨

Paws to Celebrate! raised $175,000 for Brigadoon Service Dogs!

This year’s gala was a milestone for Brigadoon. We welcomed the largest attendance in our gala’s history, along with a record number of first-time attendees. It was so exciting to introduce Brigadoon to so many new faces and share more about our dogs, our mission, and the work we do.

To everyone who attended, donated, bid, sponsored, volunteered, contributed an auction item or dessert, or helped make the evening possible: thank you. 💛

We’ll be sharing more photos from the night over the coming days, so keep an eye out!

And while we’re still riding the post-gala high… save the date for next year: September 17, 2027! 🗓️

Over the years, the Order of the Eastern Star Washington Chapter has left a lasting mark on Brigadoon—in more ways than one. 💛🐾

Through their generous support, they’ve had the opportunity to name four Brigadoon dogs: Benjamin, Sparkle, Star, and Searra.

Each of those names represents a unique dog, a different journey, and another chapter in Brigadoon’s mission.

This year, we are especially honored to have the Order of the Eastern Star Washington Chapter serving as the presenting sponsor of Paws to Celebrate.

Thank you for supporting our dogs, the amazing people they are partnered with, and the life-changing partnerships they are working toward. We’ll see you on September 18!

We are honored to announce that Melissa and Whatcom County Courthouse facility dog Davie will be featured at this year’s Paws to Celebrate gala. 💛🐾

Melissa and Davie graduated from Brigadoon’s program in 2020. During the gala, guests will have the opportunity to hear firsthand about the role of a facility dog and the impact Davie has had in the lives of many.

We are incredibly grateful to Melissa for being willing to share her and Davie’s story.

🎟️ Join us for Paws to Celebrate on September 18. Tickets are available through September 7.
