🏙️💚 Bringing Park Heights priorities to the conversation!
PHR’s Kristina Williams, Director of Business & Economic Development, spoke at the 2026 Main Street Maryland Conference about putting community needs at the center of neighborhood investment.

Through our Main Street program and commercial revitalization efforts, we support local businesses and work to ensure that as Park Heights grows, the people who live and work here benefit too.

🏠💚A New Kind of Home Is Coming to Park Heights

The Gillis Memorial Grand Family Apartments and Wellness Center is a first-of-its-kind development creating affordable housing and wellness support for grandparents and older adults raising children.

This project is especially close to our hearts because of Gillis Memorial’s deep roots, lived experience and legacy of service in Park Heights. Supported by a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) award. It reflects the work of our Community Wellness & Safety Collaborative—building solutions around what our community actually needs.

Thank you to Gov. Wes Moore, Maryland DHCD Secretary Jake Day, Baltimore Housing Commissioner Tim Keane, Maryland and Baltimore City Housing, Woda Cooper Companies, Gillis Memorial CDC and every partner helping move this vision forward.

Real community development happens when we work together to move from planning to implementation.

🌍✨ Park Heights showed up for culture, community and FUN!

Sankofa Children’s African Festival celebrated its 6th year with a day full of music, movement, creativity, family activities and opportunities for young people to connect with African culture in a meaningful way. 💚

From the activities and cultural experiences to the smiles shared throughout the day, it was a beautiful reminder of what happens when community, culture and the next generation come together.

👏🏾 Congratulations to the Sankofa team on another successful year of creating a space where children and families can learn, celebrate and have fun together!
