Supporting a child’s education is an important part of strengthening their overall wellbeing.✨ Having the right supplies can help students feel more confident in the classroom and give families peace of mind knowing their child has what they need for the school day.

Through our annual Back-to-School Supply Drive, more than 200 children served through Foster In Texas, BeREAL Supervised Independent Living and our Child Wellbeing Zones received new backpacks filled with essential school supplies. Partner organizations, volunteers and community supporters across Texas helped us get those backpacks into children’s hands before classes began, so they could start the year prepared and ready to learn.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s drive. 🙌

Preschool classroom essentials, according to the experts 🫧🎶

During In-Service Week, as Upbring Head Start Preschool teachers were gearing up for the new school year, we asked what they can’t live without in their classrooms and how those everyday favorites help children feel comfortable, engaged and ready to learn.

Investing in the teams behind our education programs strengthens the experience we provide children and families. ✨

Our 2026 Head Start In-Service Week brought together nearly 600 educators, support staff and leaders from Upbring Early Head Start and Head Start Preschool teams, Trinity Charter Schools and our ISD partners for continued professional development and collaboration.

As our largest In-Service Week to date, it extended that opportunity to more people across our education programs than ever before, strengthening our teams and the quality of education, care and support we provide throughout the school year.

Here’s to a great school year ahead! 👏

As children and families begin a new school year, Upbring Head Start helps support a strong start ✨🌱

Our early education and family engagement approach helps children build school readiness while giving caregivers a better understanding of their child’s needs and tools to reinforce learning and development at home.

Having a new bike to call their own can give a child confidence, independence and a new way to get outside and explore. 🚲✨

Thanks to Liberty Mutual Insurance and Foster Love, 13 children served by Upbring across North Texas now have bikes of their own!

Valued at approximately $1,500, the bikes were distributed to children in our Dallas Foster In Texas, Fort Worth Foster In Texas and South Fort Worth Head Start programs.

Through Foster Love’s employee engagement and volunteer initiatives, Liberty Mutual teams in Plano invest their time and resources to assemble bikes and other gifts for children served by Upbring. Those efforts have generated nearly $25,000 in in-kind donations through the partnership between Liberty Mutual and Foster Love.

Thank you to Liberty Mutual and Foster Love for continuing to support children and families served by Upbring. 💙

From Central Texas to North Texas, communities are coming together to help children and families start the 2026-27 school year strong. 💙

Partners across Texas help bring our Back-to-School Supply Drive to life in the communities they serve. In Dallas and Fort Worth, STC Safety & Risk Management recently packed backpacks for children in our Foster In Texas (FIT) program, providing the supplies they need to feel prepared and ready to learn.

Their support is part of a larger effort happening across the state, with partners and communities stepping up to help more children and families thrive.

Thank you, STC, for helping carry this work forward in North Texas. 🙌

We had a full house at Pins & Wheels At Playland for our second annual Austin Child Wellbeing Zone Back-to-School Skate Jam! 🛼🙌

This year, 232 community members came out for an evening of skating, family-friendly fun and back-to-school support. Of those, 179 hit the rink and more than 175 local students went home with backpacks filled with school supplies and essentials for the year ahead.

Shout out to our incredible partners JPMorganChase, The PFaith House, TXRD - Texas Roller Derby, Bertha Carson Heart Foundation and H-E-B Pflugerville who helped make the event special, and the 25 volunteers who gave their time, including individual supporters and team members from The University of Texas at Dallas, Nuclein, JPMorgan Chase and The PFaith House.

Through events like this, our Child Wellbeing Zones help families access resources in their own neighborhoods while giving local organizations more opportunities to understand and respond to community needs, all of which contributes to creating safer, stronger communities. Thank you to everyone who joined us. We loved seeing so many children and families back at the rink for another year.💙
