Our young makers have spent the summer learning new skills, trying new things, and turning their ideas into projects they can actually hold up and say, “I made this.” 🥹🛠️

Now it’s time to celebrate them.

Back-to-school season looks a little different at Asmbly. 🛠️💛

This summer, our Young Makers have been learning how to turn ideas into real projects, try new techniques, work through mistakes, and share what they’ve created with confidence.

Now it’s time to celebrate everything they’ve made!

Turns out, putting your own design on practically everything is a skill you can learn. 🧵👀

Our Machine Embroidery class gives you hands-on learning with our Brother embroidery machines, from threading and hooping to choosing the right fabrics and stabilizers. You'll try patch making, direct-to-garment stitching, and the little finishing details that make everything look *really* good.

Basically: bring the ideas, we'll teach you how to stitch them.

A little throwback while Austin gears up for another month of Pride celebrations. 🌈

We had such a fun time at the Pease Park Pride Picnic hosted by and , making buttons, meeting so many wonderful people, and sharing a little bit of Asmbly with the community.

What happens when words like acorn, dandelion, ivy, beaver, and newt start disappearing from childhood?

Asmbly member Danny Martin explores that question through Recovering the Lost Words, an exhibit inspired by words from the natural world that have been removed from the Oxford Junior Dictionary in recent years. 🌱

"This exhibit is an opportunity for people to consider what we might be losing and to reconnect with these "lost words."

We love seeing what happens when our members combine different tools, skills, and ideas to make something entirely their own!

"I'm grateful to Asmbly for making so many creative tools accessible, and even more grateful for the training and community knowledge to use them skillfully. Like a true ecosystem, everyone here contributes something different, and the whole space feels stronger because of it."
