Meet Vince, another builder getting ready to enter the Weaponized Plastics arena. 🤖⚔️

He’s been into robotics since the LEGO Mindstorms days, and this time he’s using the competition as an excuse to experiment with a wide drum design he’s wanted to build for years.

Will throwing a bunch of experimental ideas at the wall work? Come find out October 24.

Meet Hy Doan .hy , one of the people behind the wheel at Asmbly.

We sat down with Hy to talk ceramics, creativity, teaching, and what keeps the making process interesting.

Come for the clay, stay for everything you learn along the way.

Meet Alfred, one of the builders entering the arena at Weaponized Plastic @ Asmbly. 🤖⚔️

This is his first combat robot built from scratch, which means plenty of testing, problem-solving, and figuring things out as he goes. He’s starting small with an antweight prototype before scaling up for competition day.

“Mythbusters was a must watch for me growing up and seeing how important creating and building was in the mythbusting process always inspired me to work on my own crazy projects and creations.”

Watch Alfred battle it out on Oct 24th. You don’t want to miss it.

See how it holds up when the robots hit the arena. 👀

13,000+ sq. ft. of tools, skills, and people who really like making things.

Come see what you can make here.

Just another afternoon of making at Young Makers Club.

If you couldn’t make this class, check out October’s FREE suncatchers class on Oct 10th. All materials are provided and no registration is required.

The evidence is all over the house 😭

A little occupational hazard of spending your free time cutting, grinding, welding, and generally having a very good time in Fabrication class.

Worth the smudges, if you ask us.
