I’m happy to share that Mr. DeWayne Payne, Communities In Schools Site Coordinator, successfully hosted an Attendance Pop-Up Celebration at South Columbus Elementary!

Using the fun “Snap, Crackle, Pop with Attendance” theme, Mr. Payne celebrated and encouraged students for showing up and making attendance a priority.

An amazing 336 students were present and had the opportunity to participate in the celebration.

Each student received a Rice Krispies Treat and an attendance certificate as recognition for being present and ready to learn.

This Tier I attendance initiative was a great way to bring excitement and positive recognition to school attendance while reinforcing the message that Every Day Counts!

Thank you to the South Columbus Elementary administration and staff for supporting Communities In Schools and Mr. Payne’s efforts to promote positive attendance!
