Back-to-school season hits different when you know your community has your back.

At our recent Parent Expo, families connected directly with resources to make this school year easier: school supplies, health screenings, mentorship info, and real conversations with the people who show up for their kids every day.

Because a strong school year doesn’t start on day one. It starts with parents and kids feeling prepared, supported, and not alone in it.

This is what “bringing communities of support to students” actually looks like.

Our annual Site Coordinator Training brought our team together for two days of learning, connection, and recommitting to the work that matters most...showing up for students across Georgia.

From powerful conversations to moments of laughter and everything in between, these two days reminded us why we do what we do. Our Site Coordinators are the heartbeat of CIS Georgia, and investing in them means investing in every student they serve.

Join us for the 15th Annual Parent Expo THIS SATURDAY, August 1, hosted by Communities In Schools of Georgia in Henry County.

This free community event brings together Henry County Schools, local nonprofits, healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations—all in one place—to connect families with valuable resources for a successful school year.

Plus, families can enjoy a backpack giveaway while supplies last.
