Suzanne Paquette is a Quebec City–based fiber artist with more than forty years of experience. She holds a master’s degree in fine arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal and has received numerous grants, awards, and honors for her artistic work and teaching. In 2025, she received Quebec’s prestigious Jean-Marie Gauvreau Prize for craft art. Suzanne’s tapestries have been exhibited internationally and are included in both public and private collections.

Cassandra Mayela Allen is a self-taught artist in New York City. Her practice spans textiles and socially engaged art installations that explore memory, migration, and belonging. Her residencies include Pocoapoco, Campo Garzón, and Bolster Arts, and she is an alumna of the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She exhibits internationally and has been featured in The New York Times, Bomb Magazine, Elephant, and Vogue México.

The Handweavers Guild of America, Inc. is thrilled to host artist-weaver and 2022 American Craft Council Fellow Karen Hampton as the Keynote Speaker for Convergence® 2026 in NOLA!
