Ms. Ramona on College lives in one of the few Habitat for Humanity homes here in our neighborhood. Habitat offers very little in the way of repairs to their residents unless they live in certain neighborhoods of Atlanta, so we were excited to find out they were willing to repaint her exterior for her. However in order from the to paint she needed some of her rotten siding and soffits repaired. We sent Armando with AH Roofing & Construction LLC by to make the repairs so she's all ready for a new paint job!

A new roof. A working furnace. A safer home.

These are the kinds of life-changing repairs Neighbor in Need brings to elderly homeowners in East Lake, Kirkwood, and Edgewood—neighbors who’ve spent decades building our community.

With rising costs, many seniors are at risk of being pushed out of their homes. We’re here to stop that. With your gift, you provide stability, dignity, and peace of mind to someone’s grandmother, father, or lifelong neighbor.

We've continued to help out Ms. Mary on Alder Court with various repairs throughout the years. She called to let us know she didn't have any hot water and we got someone out there immediately to replace her water heater and get her water warmed up again!

Ms. Mary also let a Neighbor in Need volunteer that was checking in on her know that she had rusty pipes and needed us to come out and take a look. Sure enough her cast iron pipes were leaking and she needed a brand new water line. Armando and his team at AH Roofing & Construction LLC were able to quickly get out to her house, dig up the old rusty pipe and repair with the latest flexible pipe and her reconnected!

This repair was done at no cost to her! Our elderly neighbors shouldn't have to pick and choose necessities due to financial strain and rising costs. The work of Neighbor in Need is fully funded by those who donate - THANK YOU for helping us make projects like this possible and continuing to support our mission.

One of our fantastic volunteers who regularly check in on our clients informed us that Mr. Charles' bathtub drain wasn't draining properly. Mr. Charles is a blind senior neighbor who we have provided with a new roof a few years ago and a major kitchen repair earlier this year. We were able to have Armando with A.H. Roofing and Construction out to replace his drain and get the bathtub draining properly again. We love that you can see the gorgeous new red and blue water lines from his previous kitchen repair in these photos!
