Reading is Essential for All People

Teachers need the right tools to help struggling readers become strong readers. We’re teaching the teachers to build stronger readers.

REAP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving reading proficiency in Georgia public school students by training teachers in Structured Literacy. REAP is breaking the mold when it comes to reading instruction in public schools. We train public school teachers to effectively teach reading. We give them the tools they need to turn struggling readers into strong readers with skills that prepare them for school, careers, and a brighter future.

REAP & Newton County Schools are piloting a sustainable, effective literacy program to ensure ALL students become proficient readers. The rigorous Structured Literacy training includes K-3 teachers, SPED, EIP, IRR, ESOL, MTSS, and parapros.
The pilot program includes modeling, instructional planning and data review to ensure teachers can successfully implement the program.
