We're wrapping up with another full circle story!

Meet Layla F. — a Georgia’s Pre-K Program alum who now gets to give other children the same kind of strong start she received.

Layla attended Pre-K at Heards Ferry Elementary in Sandy Springs. Today, she’s back in a Pre-K classroom — this time as the Lead Pre-K Teacher at Manning Oaks Elementary.

There’s something special about seeing a former Pre-K student become the teacher welcoming a new generation of learners. The child who was once learning, exploring and growing in a Georgia Pre-K classroom is now helping other children do the same.

From Pre-K student to Pre-K teacher — that’s Today’s Learners. Tomorrow’s Leaders. 🌟

Meet Emma C. — a Georgia’s Pre-K Program alum who began her educational journey at Kids R Kids #8 in Lawrenceville. Today, she’s an attorney with Hulsey, Oliver, and Mahar.
From a tiny cap and gown to earning a law degree, Emma’s photos capture something Georgia’s Pre-K has always been about: a strong start is just the beginning.

We may not know where today’s Pre-K students will go next — but we know the experiences, relationships and skills they build now can help prepare them for wherever their futures lead.

We loved welcoming Sam Park to See Me Grow for Georgia Pre-K Week! From curious questions to busy little minds, he got a firsthand look at the learning, laughter, and BIG growth happening in this Georgia Pre-K classroom. 📚🌱

Visits like this are a wonderful reminder that what happens in these classrooms today helps shape Georgia’s tomorrow. We’re grateful Rep. Park took the time to see it in action! 💫

Meet Jamayka W. — a Georgia’s Pre-K Program alum whose story has come full circle.
Jamayka began her journey at Fort Valley State University’s Peach Pre-K. Today, she’s a Child Care Consultant with the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, supporting the programs and professionals who help Georgia’s youngest children learn, grow and thrive.

She once benefited from Georgia’s investment in early learning. Now she’s part of the system making that strong start possible for the next generation.

That’s the power of Pre-K — and a perfect example of Today’s Learners. Tomorrow’s Leaders. 🌟

Meet Nate M. — a Georgia’s Pre-K Program alum who got his start at South Jackson Elementary School in Athens. Today, he’s putting his skills to work as an Information Technology Analyst at Chick-fil-A.

From an early learner discovering the world around him to a technology professional helping solve problems in a fast-moving field, Nate’s story shows just how far a strong start can lead.

Georgia’s Pre-K classrooms are filled with tomorrow’s teachers, innovators, problem-solvers and leaders. We just get to meet them first. 🌟
