Ahhh to go back in time. Good food. Good people. Good times.

Hard Hat Gala 2026 was a movie. Dressed to the nines on a Friday night in the heart of downtown Atlanta. There’s nothing like it.

Happy Labor Day 🛠️

Every fight for rights in this country has been led by the people with the least protection and the most at stake. Labor is no different.

Today we honor the Colored National Labor Union (1869), the Atlanta Washing Society (twenty washerwomen right here in our city who grew to 3,000 strong in three weeks in 1881), the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters (1925), the sanitation workers of Memphis and their “I AM A MAN” stand (1968), and the Japanese Mexican Labor Association and Filipino-led AWOC organizers, who built the modern farm labor movement, and all those who today continue to fight on behalf of workers!

Rights were never given, they were organized, marched, and won.

Happy Labor Day, let’s continue Building Better Together. 🏗️
