Rainy Saturdays Are for Learning! ☔💙

It’s a rainy Saturday in Georgia, but GCCA educators aren’t letting the weather slow them down!

Today, teachers from across the state are joining us virtually for Autism and Play, led by Dr. Sheila Thompson of Mercer University.

Through this DECAL-approved training, educators are exploring the important role of play in supporting children with autism and building more inclusive, engaging early learning environments.

We love seeing educators invest their Saturday mornings in professional growth and new ways to support the children and families they serve.

We Caught Our GCCA Members Doing Good! 📸🍎

As Georgia Pre-K Week comes to a close, GCCA is celebrating the many member schools that opened their classroom doors to legislators and community leaders this week to celebrate and engage with GA's tiniest citizens!

We've loved seeing our members showcase the incredible learning happening in their classrooms while raising awareness about the importance of Georgia's nationally recognized Pre-K program.

🎉 Georgia Pre-K Week is a great reminder of what makes early learning in Georgia so special: strong programs, dedicated educators, engaged leaders, and communities that understand the importance of giving children a strong start.
We’re especially proud to see GCCA Board President Michelle Smith Lank and Kids World welcome Sen. Billy Hickman and Deputy Commissioner Susan Adams as part of this year’s celebration.

Moments like this matter. They bring policymakers into our programs, connect them directly with the people doing this work every day, and create opportunities to see firsthand the impact quality early learning has on children, families, and Georgia’s workforce.
