The Atlanta Business League is proud to recognize Sheriff Melody Maddox, of the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office Decatur GA , as a recipient of the 2026 Lottie H. Watkins Female First Award at the 42nd Annual Super Tuesday Conference!

Named after Atlanta real estate trailblazer Lottie H. Watkins, this award highlights exceptional women who have shattered glass ceilings. As the 50th Sheriff of DeKalb County, GA, Sheriff Maddox made history as the first woman to lead the agency, bringing over three decades of distinguished service, vision, and dedication to her role.

From her early career steps to her current work expanding agency resources, empowering local youth, and giving back through civic organizations like Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the NCNW, Sheriff Maddox continues to leave an indelible mark on DeKalb County and beyond.

We are ecstatic to honor Donata Russell Ross as our Super Tuesday Conference Women’s Hall of Fame Inductee! 🏆✨

Donata recently retired as CEO of Concessions International, LLC (CI) after nearly 42 years of dedication and leadership. Under her guidance, CI grew into a national leader in airport food and beverage concessions, delivering excellence to travelers across the U.S. and the Virgin Islands while maintaining its legacy as a proud family-owned enterprise founded by her father, Herman J. Russell.

Donata’s career is defined by visionary leadership and incredible achievements, including recent recognitions like the 2026 AX Icon Award, the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau Hospitality Hall of Fame, and the Four Pillar Tribute with the Russell Family.

In retirement, she continues to give back through her board service with the Herman J. Russell Foundation, the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE), and H. J. Russell & Company.
