Too often, teachers are the forgotten heroes in our communities.

I see the ones who arrive early, stay late, spend their own money, carry the burdens of their students, and continue showing up even when they feel unseen. They do far more than teach lessons they love, encourage, protect, and help shape the future of our children.

To every church, company, volunteer, and community organization that supports this work: thank you. Because of you, our teachers are being seen, their needs are being heard, and their classrooms are being filled with the supplies and resources they deserve.

This Thursday, we kick off our first official Serving Thursday! Our amazing kids will serve families, seniors, and neighbors throughout Atlanta’s Westside.

We’re raising compassionate leaders who understand that greatness begins with serving others.

This week’s goal is to prepare snack bags each with a handwritten note for students at three local schools.

No one would have ever thought WE would commit to a collaboration but here we are!

We may not always agree, but we are committed to serving our community, respecting each other’s strengths, and staying focused on the greater purpose.

This is what happens when purpose becomes bigger than personalities.

Calling all my friends and family! We have an opportunity to come together and make a real difference within the next few hours.

This young lady has been a part of our program since she was in the second grade at Grove Park Elementary School. We have watched her grow into a beautiful young adult, and today, she needs our help.

Our goal is to raise just $1,600, and I truly believe we can make it happen together. Please take a moment to read her story, donate whatever you can, and share this with your friends and family.

Friends, neighbors, and community leaders join us every Tuesday for one hour of wellness, connection, and support. Come pause, breathe, and reconnect in a welcoming community. We would love to see you there!

Host by Christie Pettit, Christie specializes in wellness care and counseling caregivers. Christie is passionate about offering support to those working in emotionally demanding professions, such as counseling and ministry, as well as equipping and empowering parents who are struggling with the challenges of raising children.

Christie utilizes both a systemic and a narrative approach in counseling and enjoys helping clients develop tools to integrate emotional and spiritual health.

For eight incredible weeks, PAWKids and Bojack showed up across Atlanta’s Westside to make sure our children and families felt seen, supported, and fed.

We are deeply grateful for our amazing staff, Northside Church ,volunteers, and strategic partners who helped us show up week after week. This is what happens when we work together.
