📦🌎 Look what landed at Poder Unides! 👀

We received Endangered Species Condoms from the Center for Biological Diversity ! 🐢🦋🐻

Why condoms? They’re designed to spark conversations about the connection between reproductive freedom, gender empowerment, environmental justice, consumption, and biodiversity.

🌱 Everyone deserves the ability to decide if and when they want to have children.
🌎 More than 1 million species are at risk of extinction if current trends continue.
🫶🏽 Education, reproductive healthcare, and community empowerment can help create healthier communities and a healthier planet.

The Center for Biological Diversity has distributed over 1 million free condoms through volunteers across all 50 states.

So yes… we’re talking about condoms and endangered species. 😂

Because sometimes the funniest package can start a serious conversation about people, power, and our planet. 💚

Grateful to Atlanta Pride for hosting several beautiful reception at the Georgia Aquarium, and to Q Care Plus for capturing this special moment with Bosco, and the legendary Detox . Thank you, ladies! A dream come true! 🤎✨ And thank you to everyone who made these moments possible!

As a 2023 Atlanta Pride Grand Marshal, it was especially meaningful to share this moment with Jennifer Arellano, our 2026 Grand Marshal, celebrating the leadership, legacy, and continued accomplishments of our Southern trans Latine community.

🤎🫶🏾🪽🕊️ Rest in Power, Grace Detrevarah.

Grace’s story was one of survival, resistance, spirituality, and transformation. Born in Detroit and later making her way to New York City, she spoke openly about running away, and about the drag queens and trans women who protected and cared for her along the way.

She shared her experiences with incarceration, religion and spirituality, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, transgender healthcare, and the “revolutionary girls” who, like her, refused to disappear.

Through her memoir, Grace: Transitions and Other Views, she left behind her story in her own words.

May her name, her work, and her story continue to live on.

Rest in power, Grace. 🪽🕊️🤎
