Horizons Atlanta at The Temple is a 6-week summer learning experience supporting students from underserved communities throughout their academic careers. We believe all children, regardless of income, should have the opportunity to realize their potential. All across metro Atlanta, our scholars discover the joy of learning, skills for success, and inspiration to achieve their dreams.

Today is Horizons Giving Day, and all across metro Atlanta the Horizons Atlanta community is coming together to support our scholars. We depend on donor support to provide our programs tuition-free for our scholars who are impacted by educational inequity.

It's our last of the summer! Today's topic is Horizons history. Horizons came to ATL in 2013 in order to use Horizons sites as a platform to grow into a Horizons region that served more scholars, increased efficiencies, accessed a broader range of funding sources, and fostered a more direct and comprehensive partnership with area districts. We love our ATL scholars!

It's ! The challenge students face in Atlanta is living in underserved communities. These children are less likely to have access to the tools they need to reach milestones such as graduating from high school. These educational and economic disparities can erode employment prospects and wages throughout a lifetime.

Horizons is committed to providing students with educationally and socially enriching summertime activities to combat these challenges.
