Eighty-two years ago, young men stepped onto the shores of Normandy knowing many would never return home.

Facing impossible odds, they advanced with a commitment to something greater than themselves, leaving a legacy of courage, service, and sacrifice that continues to inspire generations.

Today, we remember the heroes of D-Day, honor those who gave everything in defense of freedom, and reflect on the generations of warriors who have carried that legacy forward.

PTS(D) is not a “disorder.”

June is PTS(D) Awareness Month, a time to raise understanding, break stigma, and remind veterans and first responders that they are not alone in the invisible wounds they carry.

Post-traumatic stress is not always visible. It can show up in ways people may not immediately recognize, through withdrawal, emotional exhaustion, irritability, avoidance, or silence.

What others see on the surface may actually be someone struggling beneath the weight of trauma, addiction, or emotional overload while trying to keep moving forward.

Healing starts with understanding.

At , we believe warriors deserve the right care at the right time. Through our national alliance of trusted partners, we help connect veterans and first responders to support for post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, and substance abuse.

No warrior should have to walk this journey alone.

As we wrap up Mental Health Awareness Month, we've shared real words from veterans and first responders who found support, connection, and a path forward.

Their stories are reminders that healing is possible, asking for help is a sign of strength, and no one should have to carry the invisible wounds of service alone.

At Avalon Action Alliance, we connect veterans and first responders to trusted programs for post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, and substance abuse.

If you or someone you know is struggling, drop a 💚 below.

Because the most important message of this month is also the simplest: YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

This Memorial Day, we honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

For many veterans and military families, that sacrifice is deeply personal. Service is often shaped by the example of those who came before them, by a sense of duty, and by the memory of those who never made it home.

While Memorial Day is dedicated to remembering the fallen, it is also a reminder that many who return home continue living with the invisible wounds of service.

Traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress, and substance abuse continue to impact veterans and first responders nationwide.

At Avalon Action Alliance, we connect veterans and first responders to specialized care and support through our national alliance of trusted providers.

This Memorial Day, we remember those we have lost, and we remain committed to those still carrying the weight of service.

We invite you to honor someone whose service or sacrifice shaped your life by sharing their name below.

Mental health impacts families too.

The invisible wounds of service do not just affect the individual. They can impact marriages, parenting, friendships, and the ability to connect with the people who matter most.

For many veterans and first responders, seeking help is not only about improving their own well-being, but also about rebuilding relationships and reconnecting with family.

At Avalon Action Alliance, we believe healing should address the whole person and support the broader journey toward healthier lives and stronger relationships.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we honor not only those carrying invisible wounds, but also the families who walk alongside them every day.

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental illness, drop a 💚 below.

Last week, leaders, veterans, advocates, and supporters gathered in San Antonio, TX, for the We Are Avalon Fireside Chat at Oak Hills Country Club to discuss the invisible wounds impacting our nation’s veterans and first responders.

Many of the relationships helping shape Avalon today started exactly this way, around a table, through conversation, and with people who chose to stay involved. Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to stand alongside Avalon.

During Military Appreciation Month, we invite you to stand with the veterans and first responders we serve. Your support helps connect warriors to life-changing care for traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress, and substance abuse challenges.

Each May during National Police Week, more than 24,000 fallen officers are remembered on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Today, on Peace Officers Memorial Day, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the men and women in law enforcement who protect our communities each day.

We remember the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and the families, friends, and fellow officers who carry that loss forever.

At Avalon Action Alliance, we are honored to support veterans and first responders navigating the invisible wounds of service, including post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, and substance abuse challenges.

To every state, local, and federal law enforcement officer: thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your commitment to protecting others. We stand with you.

Drop a 💙 to honor the officers who serve and those we’ve lost.
