Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony Alumni

Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony Alumni AYWS alumni span the globe in both music and non-music professions, bound by a love of music and excellence in performance.

The AYWS was founded in 1988 as one of America's leading youth wind ensembles. Since that time, they have performed at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, the Georgia Music Educators National Conference, and on PRI's acclaimed radio show "From the Top." Members of the AYWS have gone on to many and varied college experiences and careers in the work force.

This weekend AYWS will host over 100 enthusiastic middle school musicians for AYWS Young Artists, featuring guest composer Yukiko Nishimura. Rehearsals are Saturday 10-2:45 pm and the concert is Sunday at 2:00 pm.
