🌟 Certified Nursing Assistants: The Heart of Healthcare 🌟
Before the call light rings, they're already on the move. Before breakfast is served, they've helped residents start their day. Before most people have had their first cup of coffee, CNAs have already provided comfort, dignity, and care.
πŸ’™ CNAs are the helping hands. πŸ’™ The listening ears. πŸ’™ The smiling faces that make a difficult day a little brighter.
From assisting with daily care to offering emotional support, CNAs do so much more than their job title could ever describe. They build relationships, create trust, and make a lasting difference in the lives of those they care for.
To every CNA: ✨ Your hard work matters. ✨ Your compassion matters. ✨ YOU matter.
Drop a πŸ’™ in the comments if you're proud to be a CNA or want to thank one for everything they do!

This is a MUST READ article by Dr. Allen Power. We have to do better!!

"Instead of designing systems around efficiency and compliance, we must design them around people. That means investing in staff education, giving care partners the time to build relationships, making important operational shifts and creating environments that reduce distress rather than provoke it."

We are thrilled to share this incredible news ~ Dr Fayron Epps is coming home to Georgia and !!! How wonderful for all of us!!!

Georgia State University is addressing the nursing workforce shortage head-on β€” and we just brought in a national leader to help do it.

Fayron Epps PhD, RN, FGSA,FAAN, joins the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions as Associate Dean of Nursing this July, bringing over two decades of scholarship, advocacy, and community-driven impact.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and founder of Alter Dementia β€” recently featured in the New York Times β€” Dr. Epps has spent her career turning research into real change for people living with dementia and the families who care for them.

She arrives with a clear mission: "I come with a heart full of purpose and a commitment to advancing health outcomes, preparing the next generation of nurse leaders, and building bridges between academic nursing and the communities that need us most."

As Associate Dean of Nursing at GSU, she'll do exactly that β€” growing enrollment, strengthening clinical partnerships, launching a new mobile health clinic, and preparing the nurse leaders Georgia needs.

Big things are coming for Lewis College. Welcome home, Dr. Epps.
