Turns out, knowing what’s happening under the Gold Dome, questioning your power bill, and holding decision-makers accountable never really goes out of style.

Being informed? Kinda chic.

Using your voice? Very chic.

Making sure Georgians have a say in the decisions that affect their lives? Always chic.

We don’t make the rules. We just pay attention to who does. 😉

Our bills, our rent, our groceries. So much of our everyday lives is shaped by decisions being made in rooms we’re not always in.

For this week’s Two-Minute Tuesdays with GCV, hear from our Organizing Director, Doha Medani, on why building community power matters and how GCV Power Builders is helping people develop the skills, support, and confidence to become stronger organizers and advocates.
Power Builders is an 8-week program designed to help you discover the kind of leader you want to be, learn how to organize alongside others, and build power around the issues affecting your community, from clean energy to data centers and beyond.

The series is already underway, but it’s not too late to join us. Registration will remain open throughout the program, and every session is recorded.

Come build with us.

🚨Coastal Georgia residents received very little notice about a public open house for a proposed data center project. Data centers can have significant impacts on local communities, including high water demand, increased strain on the electric grid, and questions about who ultimately bears the cost of new infrastructure and rising energy demand.

Public input matters. If you have concerns or want more information, attend the open house, ask questions, and share your perspective. Our communities deserve transparency, not last-minute notice for decisions with long-term impacts.
