The Black Lotus Project

The Black Lotus Project Both daughters of formerly incarcerated fathers. They know all too well the perils of having a loved one in prison at such a young age.

Born out of a passion for helping families and creating change in undeserved communities...The Black LotUS Project is a way to react to the negative outcomes plaguing those in underserved communities. The founders Brittney London and Natalie Anita Brady envisioned the reality of the solution in proper resource sharing, artistic therapy, opportunities, and programs that foster life skills and healing. A loss of innocence, but in turn were both provided with wisdom and skepticism of the criminal justice system. In 2020, during the creation of their award winning short film, Duvar, a story focused on telling the story of yet another father who is incarcerated, the founders boldly stepped further into their autonomy and knowledge and began working to make a change. The Black LotUS Project is physically located in Atlanta, Georgia, where it intends to serve local communities through its programs and services.The Black LotUS Project believes they can eradicate the negative outcomes endured by many, one resource and creative opportunity at a time.

WE’RE BACK THIS SUMMER! ☀️💜

The Black Lotus Project is excited to officially kick off another season of FREE weekly groceries and meals for kids through Georgia’s Summer Food Service Program!

Starting THIS WEEK, families can visit one of our Happy Helpings community meal sites across Georgia for free nutritious groceries and meals for children all summer long.

We’re excited to see our communities back out at the sites and look forward to serving families throughout the summer!

FREE GROCERIES FOR KIDS is back this summer! Our Happy Helpings children's bulk feeding program with The Black Lotus Project starts on May 27th. It is every Wednesday from 3:00 - 4:00 pm. It is available for the first 100 children. (First come, first served.)
