Our Home for the Holidays annual campaign is still taking place!

During these months, we’ve asked everyone affiliated with Bolst (staff, agents, vendors, partners, etc) to contribute an unspecified amount for every real estate transaction/paycheck.

But where are these funds going? Terrence Smith, our CPO fills us in on just that!

Last week at Bolst Real Estate ‘s team meeting, we got to meet with Dr. A & Frankie from Covenant House Georgia.

At Covenant House Georgia (CHGA), they are much more than a shelter. They provide more than a bed and a meal for youth experiencing homelessness and escaping trafficking; while showing unconditional love and giving comprehensive support so that our youth can and will realize their fullest potential.

Their guiding principles include:
+ Immediacy: Youth come to them in crisis. Immediately and without question, they meet their basic human needs – a hot meal, a shower, clean clothes, a bed, medical attention, and a safe place away from the dangers of the street.
+ Sanctuary: A place of refuge; a sacred space. The youth who come to them are often frightened and mistrustful. Many of them have been abused. We protect them from the perils of the street. A young person can grow only when they feel safe and secure.
Other principles also include:
+ Communication
+ Structure
+ Choice

For more than 50 years, Covenant House has grown from a single-apartment unit to an international authority on the issues surrounding youth experiencing homelessness and escaping trafficking. Covenant House provides a complete range of programs from Crisis Care to Rights of Passage and every step in between. This includes health care services (thanks to their partnership with Community Advanced Practice Nurses (CAPN), mental health services and individual, group and family counseling as well as experiential and non-traditional therapy.

Support Services include:
+ A Community Service Center
+ Educational Program
+ Job Readiness Program
+ Life Readiness Program
+ Street Outreach
and so much more.
