A tremendous leader and an incredible legacy of service. 🇺🇸

Army Emergency Relief extends a huge thank you to Tom Shull for his extraordinary leadership of the Army & Air Force Exchange Service and his unwavering commitment to Soldiers, Veterans and military Families.

Your impact on our military community will be felt for years to come. Congratulations, Tom, and thank you to the entire Exchange team for continuing to serve those who serve. 👏

We’re only halfway through Day 1, and the 2026 AER Worldwide Training Symposium is already delivering! 🌎

Army Emergency Relief Officers and leaders from around the world have come together to learn, collaborate and strengthen how we support Soldiers and Families. 🤝

Today we’ve heard from AER CEO and 16th Sergeant Major of the Army (Ret.) Tony Grinston, The Inspector General of the Army LTG Gregory Brady, and IMCOM Commanding General LTG James Smith.

Different perspectives. One shared mission: taking care of Soldiers and Families. 🇺🇸

And we’re just getting started. 👏

An important member of the AER family passed on July 31, 2026. Jacquelyn Trefy, beloved wife of the late Lieutenant General Richard G. Trefry.

A devoted Army spouse, Jacquelyn embraced a life of service to our country.

A lifelong equestrian, she was graceful, warm, and generous of spirit, and she filled the world with love.

Together, their legacy of service endures through our Army Emergency Relief scholarship awarded in their namesake.

On behalf of all members of Army Emergency Relief, she will be greatly missed.

$334,090 raised. Countless Soldiers and families supported. 🎉🪖

Fort Leonard Wood came together during the 2026 Army Emergency Relief Campaign to strengthen our Army community and ensure help is there when it’s needed most.

Congratulations to the units recognized for their outstanding contributions, and thank you to everyone who supported the mission.

When they ask “Why”… this is why🪖💚

When they ask “Why”… this is why🪖💚

You guys absolutely rock. You turned a message into action and raised 2 thousand dollars for Army Emergency Relief in the first couple of days!

Let’s see if we can keep the donations rolling!

I’m going to share a story with you all about why donating to Army Emergency Relief matters.

It’s told with permission of the Soldier.

When I was in command I had a senior NCO that had a medical issue. long story short, the local hospitals could no longer help him. He needed to see an infectious disease doctor or he was at risk of losing a limb.

The unit was able to fund his travel...but we didn't have funds for his wife to travel with him as a medical attendant, which he required. We were going to be able to secure the funds...but not in time. Mind you, this is all happening in real time, with the Soldier needing to move out on an airplane the next day.

So I called AER. The Soldier literally had money in his account within an hour to cover his wife's travel. Not only was it a painless process, but Tony Grinston, the CEO of Army Emergency Relief, called me the next morning to make sure the Soldier was on the plane and good to go.

As a result, the Soldier is slowly but surely recovering.

Thats why I donate to AER.

Thats why I would love your help raising money for AER.
