ETC is an organization of arts educators who are committed to helping children and adults to unlock their creative and collaborative potential through school and community-based programs in the DC Metropolitan area. ETC seeks to change lives through the arts while creating new paths and new approaches to life for participants and providers. Since being incorporated in 1998, ETC has brought arts ed

ucational programming to those who are not currently being served in the creative arts. By working with numerous community partners, ETC promotes the learning through the arts by bringing teaching artists into local communities to share their passion, knowledge and discipline in the performing arts. Bringing a theatrical performance to life requires the joint efforts of people with varied skills, talents and forms of intelligence. The goal of ETC is to expose children at a young age to the magic of theatre and use this artistic medium as a vehicle for education and social change.

Creative Age is ETC's theatre program created especially for adults 55+—a place to connect, laugh, reflect, share ideas and keep discovering something new.

This fall, join us for Stories That Shaped Us, Friday afternoons on Zoom. We'll explore the stories that stay with us and the ways they shape who we are.

💻 It's completely virtual, so you can join us from wherever you are—no commute or transportation needed.

This fall, young filmmakers can get creative on BOTH sides of the camera with ETC-on-Film!

Whether they've been making movies with ETC for years or have never even held a camera, our Film Clubs meet students where they are. They'll learn filmmaking techniques, practice new skills, tell their own stories on film—and make new friends along the way.

At ETC, kids aren't just learning lines or rehearsing something a teacher has already created. They're making choices. Trying ideas. Solving problems. Building on someone else's idea. And figuring out how to make something together.

Join Ms. Katie as she brings "Amos McGee Misses the Bus" to life through storytelling, movement, and theatre. Together, Ms. Katie and the children will read, play, imagine, and explore the story in a fun, interactive workshop designed especially for young children.
