State Librarian - Ella - and State Historian - Lincoln (a JC Junior Member) - were also on hand and received their SAR awards. I encourage all members to celebrate America’s 250th birthday this year. I hope you will try and complete all the items on the BINGO card I made. When you complete an item, please take a picture and email to my Senior, Edie, at [email protected]. If you complete all the items on your BINGO card before our next M. S. C. A. R. What a day! Honorary State President Claire visited the Michigan Flight Museum to present her donation check to Kevin Walsh, President. We are so excited to see the project unfold! Museum Curator Julie has a test run on display already! In all, the 2025-2026 State Project raised $17,037.30!! Thank you to everyone who supported and promoted it!

Congratulations to Clare Sherman for placing 2nd runner-up in the nation in the DAR Constitution Week Poster Contest!!! Her beautiful poster is shown below with the letter from the National Chair.

Clare is a member of the Moses Clark Society. She attends college and is studying Studio Arts. This talented young lady also created the Spirit of Independence coloring book that we shared last fall.

State President, Morgan, was on hand at the 250th George Washington Wreath Laying Ceremony in Lansing today. She gave a fabulous presentation, teaching us about the Liberty Tree and our State Tree, the Eastern White Pine.

Honorary State President Parker helped with photos, and Morgan's Aunt Mary Ellen is now referred to as the Executive Assistant to the State President.

The MISSAR gift for the guests included an Eastern White Seedling (our very own Liberty Tree) to take home!
