Concerned Veterans For America Virginia

Concerned Veterans For America Virginia By veterans, for America. Elevating veterans' perspectives to shape a freer, more secure society where Americans are empowered to achieve their American Dream.

We are a movement by veterans, for all Americans. CVA is a non-profit, non-partisan advocacy organization dedicated to inspiring veterans to continue their service through shaping a freer, more secure society where Americans are empowered to achieve their American Dream. Through community-building efforts, the organization amplifies veterans' unique perspectives to influence policy in areas that impact all Americans. We believe veterans and their communities are a positive force to lead on and tackle the challenges America faces. For those who feel let down by their elected leaders, discounted by the political process, and/or helpless to impact change, CVA offers an avenue to be heard, serve your community, and help empower your fellow Americans to drive liberty-based solutions and advance freedom. CVA delivers people-empowering solutions rooted in liberty-based principles to tackle issues Americans face. By elevating veterans’ unique perspectives and trusted leadership, CVA builds engaged communities equipped to inspire action, amplify concerned voices, and help improve American lives. In short, we bring the veteran’s unique perspective and experiences to the conversation to shape legislation and impact policy decisions.

Today, we reflect on the attacks of 9/11 and remember the thousands of lives lost that day and in its aftermath.

We grieve and honor the victims, the first responders, and service members who answered tragedy with courage and selfless service.

We will never forget.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, John Byrnes was a National Guard Soldier in New York City. When the second plane hit, John ran down the streets of Manhattan to uphold his duty to serve.

Within hours, he was standing on Ground Zero — for his neighbors, his community, and his country. Twenty-five years later, he still carries that day with him.

This is his story.

Our very own John Byrnes has an opinion piece published in USA Today. He talks about 9/11, the wars since, and why it all needs to be looked at by our lawmakers. It's worth a read:

The Constitution gives Congress responsibility to declare war. To someone who has been sent to war, that is not a procedural technicality.

Our brothers and sisters losing the battle to invisible wounds is painful.

The Take Care of America's Veterans Act offers a solution to give veterans the care they deserve, as William Huff explains to Florida Politics: https://floridapolitics.com/archives/815942-william-huff-timely-mental-healthcare-can-save-florida-veterans-lives/

If you agree, please click the link in the comments and sign the letter to your elected officials. There has never been a better chance to improve the lives of veterans.

The men and women who served our country answered the call when America needed them. Now Congress must answer theirs.

🎥 WATCH: At last Thursday’s Camp Prosperity in Glen Allen, Congressman Rob Wittman shared a video message calling for action on three key priorities.

Rep. Wittman highlighted the need to get the SPEED Act and PERMIT Act across the finish line — cutting red tape, speeding up critical energy and infrastructure projects, and helping lower costs for American families.

He also urged his House colleagues to pass the Take Care of America’s Veterans Act, which would strengthen veterans’ health care choice, improve accountability at the VA, and help veterans receive the timely care they have earned.

AFP–Virginia and Concerned Veterans for America appreciate Rep. Wittman’s leadership on these priorities and his commitment to removing barriers, lowering costs, and keeping our nation’s promise to those who served.

Watch his remarks below.

Virginia was out in Glen Allen yesterday!

At Camp Prosperity, we went straight to the community to hear from Virginians about an issue hitting families every day: the cost of groceries.

We asked local residents what they think should be done to bring costs down and make life more affordable. We also heard from Congressman Rob Wittman about his work in Washington, including his support for the SPEED Act, the Permitting Act, and Working Families Tax Cuts.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared their perspective, and made their voice heard!

🎥 Stay tuned to Team Virginia—we have more clips and conversations from Camp Prosperity coming soon!
