Nothing beats a YLD board meeting in person! 🤝✨

A special highlight from the FBA Annual Meeting & Convention in Richmond, VA, was getting a good chunk of our board together for our monthly meeting. While we love connecting from across the country, there’s something special about being in the same room, catching up, and working together to support the next generation of federal practitioners.

Grateful for this team and all the work they do for the FBA YLD! We’re better when we’re together ☺️

☀️ That’s a wrap on the YLD’s 2026 Summer Law Clerk Program! ⚖️

This summer, the YLD welcomed 14 law students from across the country for a virtual program designed to introduce them to a variety of legal career paths and connect them with lawyers from across the profession.

A huge thank you to all of our incredible speakers for generously sharing their time, experiences, and advice with our participants. Your perspectives helped make this program a meaningful and engaging experience for the next generation of lawyers. 👏

And, of course, thank you to our 2026 Summer Law Clerk Program participants for joining us this summer! We loved getting to know you and hope you leave the program with new connections, new perspectives, and plenty of inspiration for what’s ahead. 🌟

Congratulations to YLD Board Member Sheila Niaz on moderating an outstanding panel at the Federal Bar Association Minnesota Chapter’s 49th Annual Federal Practice Seminar! 👏

Sheila led a dynamic discussion featuring the chief legal officers and general counsel of the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Timberwolves & Lynx, and Minnesota Twins.

The panel offered valuable insights into leadership, the evolving role of in-house counsel, and the unique challenges of serving professional sports organizations.
