They stopped by during City Employee Service Day to help stock our food pantry shelves along with the generous donation of wellness kits and UNBagged Lunches,

We’re proud to share that our Executive Director, David Alt, will be joining the opening panel at the upcoming Anne Arundel County Housing Symposium on October 21st hosted by

David will bring ground-level perspectives straight from our daily work at The Light House, highlighting what it really takes to expand deeply affordable and supportive housing across our region. Addressing homelessness requires strong local partnerships, practical action, and a united community effort.

Almost 400 of you showed up on Sept 20th, laced up, and ran with purpose! 🏃‍♀️🏃🏾🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️✨

From incredible local neighbors to friends who traveled from near and far, the energy at this year’s Friends of The Light House Annapolis Run was nothing short of inspiring. Every step taken on the course translates directly into shelter, warm meals, and fresh starts for individuals and families in our community.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, cheered from the sidelines, and sponsored this event. You make our mission possible every single day.

As winter approaches, rising utility costs leave many of our neighbors making impossible choices between paying for heat, buying groceries, or paying rent. ❄️
But for unsheltered individuals in our community, sub-freezing temperatures are life-threatening.

Our Winter Relief Drive is officially live to protect the health, safety, and dignity of the neighbors we serve this season.

How you can support:
🧥 Donate Essential Winter Gear: Winter coats, waterproof gloves, thermal layers, and hand warmers.

Donation Drop off: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8am-6pm.

As David gets ready to take on 13.1 miles this Sunday, his final reflection brings the focus back to the neighbors at the heart of the RUN. 💙

For the people we serve at The Light House, having a safe place to rest, access support, and take the next step forward can make all the difference. It’s a reminder of why we run, and why we’re so grateful for everyone who chooses to show up alongside us.

We’re just a few days away from Peace Love & Pickleball! 🏓💙

The Light House will be hitting the court this Friday at The Putaway, and we’re excited to cheer on our team: Jonna Capezzuto, Claire Rossmark & Ladonna Griffith. A big thank you to them for representing The Light House and helping raise support for our work!

There’s plenty happening off the court, too -- spectator tickets include catered refreshments and drink coupons, and guests can check out some great raffle prizes throughout the evening. 🎟️✨

The tournament brings together seven local nonprofits, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the organization selected by each donor or ticket purchaser. A big thank you to the Hussman Foundation for sponsoring this event!
