GAB trains dancers ages 3–19 from Creative Movement through Ballet 8, offering classical and contemporary classes.

Its Pre-Professional Division supports advanced students, fostering strong technique, artistry, and a lifelong love of dance.

As our new season approaches, we can’t help but look back on what an amazing summer we had! From classes and intensives to rehearsals and time together in the studio, we are so grateful for all of the dancers, faculty, and families who made this summer so special.

We’re excited to carry that energy into the new season and can’t wait for all that is ahead!

We are so excited to welcome Kim Henshaw to the studio this week! Kim will be joining us as our guest choreographer for the Preseason Workshop, working with our company dancers to create a new piece.
We look forward to presenting Kim’s work throughout the season, including at Regional Dance America’s Northeast Adjudication. We can’t wait to have her in the studio and to see this new work come to life!

Bio: Kimberly Henshaw grew up training and performing with Delaware Dance Company. Kim
attended the University of Delaware where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with
minors in both Dance and Spanish. She was on staff at DDC for several years, teaching various
classes as well as being the Assistant of Youth Dance Ensemble where she began
choreographing. In 2025 at Regional Dance America Northeast Kim received the National
Choreography Recognition Award for her piece Are All Bad Dreams Nightmares? Kim has also
had several pieces selected for the Emerging Choreographer’s Showcase at Regional Dance
America. Kim currently resides in Washington, D.C. and works for Total Wine & More HQ.

Our Preseason Workshop brings our company dancers together before the start of the season to reconnect, learn new choreography, prepare for The Nutcracker auditions, and get ready for the exciting season ahead.

We are looking forward to welcoming our faculty, staff, and dancers back into the studio and kicking off another wonderful season together!

What a fantastic week at our June Summer Camps! 💙🩰
Our Tiny Dancer Camp was filled with movement, imagination, and creativity as our youngest dancers enjoyed ballet technique, tap, dance-themed crafts, and plenty of fun along the way.
Our Preparatory Camp dancers explored the enchanting story of Coppélia, learned repertoire from the ballet, and challenged themselves each day with ballet technique, jazz, contemporary, conditioning, stretch, and pre-pointe classes.

Thank you to all of our amazing dancers for making this week so special—we can't wait to do it all again!

The countdown is over—GAB Summer Camps are here! 🎉
This week, dancers will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and explore the art of dance in a fun and supportive environment.
🩰 Tiny Dancer Camp
Designed for ages 3–6, this camp introduces young dancers to ballet technique, stretching, creativity, and hands-on ballet-themed crafts.
📚 Preparatory Camp
Designed for ages 7–12, dancers will train in ballet, tap, and contemporary while also learning about dance history and the classical and romantic ballets that shaped the art form.
We're excited for a week of discovery, creativity, and plenty of dancing!
