Learn how to keep our local waterways and air clean and healthy with a RiverSmart Homes Showcase! Come and see how Jones Memorial utilizes green infrastructure (a rain garden, cistern, shade trees, and conservation landscaping) to mitigate flooding, increase natural habitat, cool the air, and beautify its property.

There will be native plant and native tree giveaways, free gardening tools (while supplies last), and children's activities. The event is free. All are welcome. RSVP: tinyurl.com/RSHShowcase2026

Today we're celebrating three years of conservation success with Perdue Farms! Through the partnership, we have delivered over $2.5 million in on-farm conservation investments across 30 farms in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. To date, the Alliance and Perdue Farms have installed 44 Best Management Practices on working poultry farms, such as manure facilities, stormwater and heavy-use area improvements, and over 5,000 trees planted around streams and poultry facilities!

When financial and technical barriers are eliminated, conservation adoption skyrockets on farms in the Bay.

The native plant labyrinths and rain gardens at Dogwood Middle School in Richmond, Virginia, are looking like new after volunteers joined Alliance staff for a garden clean-up day. This past Friday, the team came together to steward existing green infrastructure projects, including a rain garden and two native plant labyrinths. Volunteers weeded, pruned, removed large, overgrown shrubs, and picked up trash around the school campus. Thank you to our amazing volunteers!
