On Saturday, April 13, we had the opportunity to sponsor & table at the Michigan Community College Gender & Sexuality Conference at Washtenaw Community College.

This event allowed students, faculty & staff across 28 Michigan Community Colleges to further foster academic success & build community. With an assortment of keynote speakers, lunch, trivia, & a variety of different panels; this event was a great opportunity to connect, network & learn.

You are invited to join us on Saturday, May 2, at 11 AM at the Jim Toy Community Center for a discussion of The Farewell Symphony by Edmund White.

The Farewell Symphony chronicles the life of a gay man from the 1960s to the 1990s, exploring his experiences with love, loss, and the AIDS epidemic. The book is known for its witty blend of eroticism, humor, and social commentary as White reflects on a generation decimated by AIDS.

You are welcome to bring a snack to share for the informal gathering after our discussion. If you have not finished the book, you are still encouraged to attend and participate.

Please note that UofM Commencement Day is also scheduled for this date. To avoid traffic, we recommend avoiding the Main and Stadium intersection. For alternate route suggestions, contact Kevin at [email protected].
