The Q***r Theater Project will readings from Vampire Le****ns of S***m by Charles Bush on Wednesday, October 28th, from 6:30 to 8 PM.

Vampire Le****ns of S***m tells the saga of two fatally seductive vampiresses whose paths first collide in ancient S***m. Their bitter rivalry as bloodsuckers, but more importantly as actresses, endures for two thousand years, with stops in 1920s silent movie Hollywood and contemporary Las Vegas.

This very campy play traditionally has the lead characters in drag.
You can buy the play script at https://www.concordtheatricals.com/s/1842/vampire-lesbians-of-sodom

The play is also in his anthology, The Tale of the Alchemist’s Wife, and Other Stories. Used copies are widely available online for less than $10.

Feel free to bring a Halloween snack to share. Questions? Contact Kevin at [email protected]

Come fight for trans healthcare on September 17th from 3-4:30pm! It has been one year since Michigan Medicine ended life-saving Gender Affirming Care for trans 18-year-olds and minors. One Year of No Care.

Please join us in protesting this injustice and demanding the reinstatement of this critical care. Come with a sign and a noisemaker to the front of the Alexander Ruthven Building, and make your voice heard.

After the protest (or if you can’t go), drop in to the Jim Toy Community Center to decompress, connect, and write letters to the Regents. Together we can fight. Together we can win.

John of John
By Douglas Stuart

John of John follows Cal Macleod, a struggling art school graduate who returns home where he must navigate life with his strict Presbyterian father, John, a sheep farmer and weaver who disapproves of his son's modern appearance, alongside his sharp-tongued maternal grandmother. As hidden family secrets and the pressures of a tight-knit, judgmental community begin to unravel, Cal and his father are forced to confront their deeply repressed identities, unspoken grief, and the true cost of keeping secrets from the people closest to them.
