International Child Care - Grace Children's Hospital Our vision is health and wholeness for children and families in empowered communities. Our programs center around three goals:

1.

For more than 50 years, Grace Children's Hospital has provided vital health services and education for the children and families of Haiti, who otherwise would not have easy access to critical health care. Our mission is in response to a loving God, our mission is to provide financial, educational, and volunteer resources which promote health and well being to the children and families of Haiti. Pr

eventing Illness among children and their families through immunization, oral re-hydration, vitamin A distribution, prenatal care, clean water projects, training of traditional birth attendants and community based health promoters.

2. Restoring Health for children and adults who have fallen ill through TB and HIV treatment, outpatient medical clinics at Grace Children's Hospital and curative care services through our Integrated Community Health projects.

3. Promoting Health for children and their families through health education, pre- and post-natal care, and reproductive health services.

We know summers can get busy! It can be hard to participate in one more community event or initiative when your calendar is already filled with travel, gatherings and more. But, see below for two easy ways to still participate in Race for Grace!

Race for Grace is one of GCH's biggest fundraisers and helps raise money for Grace Children's Hospital. Grace Children's Hospital has been serving the children and families of Haiti since 1967.

We're currently at 16% of our fundraising goal - help us cross the finish line! Every year, Race for Grace participants participate in Hotter 'n Hell 100 (an endurance cycling event) or create their own event/challenge to help raise funds for Grace Children's Hospital. At a time when many hospitals are closed in Port-au-Prince, it is very important to ensure that Grace Children's Hospital remains open. Your donations help achieve this!

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that primarily damages the lungs but can also affect the kidney, spine and brain. It's an airborne disease that is spread through tiny droplets released whenever a TB positive individual coughs, sneezes, etc.

In the United States, TB feels like a distant memory. But, in many countries, TB proves to be a continuous threat especially when poverty and overcrowding is present. Luckily, TB can be treated with antibiotics. The TB vaccine can also prevent children from getting severe forms of TB.
