Many of our conference attendees generously volunteered their time in the morning and afternoon to assist two local institutions with much needed projects.

At the Alaska State Archives attendees helped rehouse Governors collections. And at Sealaska Heritage Institute our conference attendees helped create storage mounts for textiles. Thank you to all of our volunteers! This is one of the most loved and fun parts of the conferences and we really appreciate so many of our conference attendees stepping up to help!

And a huge thank you to Alyeska Pipeline Service Company and Marathon Petroleum Corporation for sponsoring our conference and making these Angel Projects possible! We are so lucky to have generous supporters like them who understand the importance of and support the museums and cultural centers in the state.

We had more workshops than ever this year at our conference, and we hope to keep that momentum going in future conferences. A huge thank you to the staff of the Alaska State Museum for running these three amazing workshops on Wednesday to kick off our conference.

Thank you to Jackie and Aaron for leading an awesome workshop on mount making for hats. The participants had a blast while learning new skills.

And thank you to Ellen and Adriana for their super fun and informative workshop on packing objects for shipping. Participants got to drop them off the second story bridge to see how well they did on packing. More pictures and videos to come!

And another massive thank you to Ellen for stepping in to lead the workshop on making archival boxes. She is a rockstar!

What a fun first day! Attendees participated in workshops, went on tours, and helped out with Angel Projects. And we capped off the day with our opening reception. Here's a few highlights from our first conference day in Juneau!

The most colorful ride in town was donated by Fairbanks North Star Borough! Have you seen it cruise around town yet? Our van fits so many blue blocks, we could basically build a house!
