Join us Friday, May 22 from 3:30–5:00 p.m. at the Special Olympics Alaska Jim Balamaci Training Center for a very special event featuring the Special Fathers Network — a mentoring program connecting caregivers raising children with special needs.

At this free event you’ll meet mentor fathers from the Special Fathers Network and connect with other caregivers in our community.

Happy last school day to all of our student athletes!

Special thanks to Cooper, Dillon, & their mom Jessica Frey for representing our Scotty Gomez Foundation & Scotty Gomez Foundation Hockey Association the other night in front of the Anchorage Lions Club 🎫

Cheers to the last week of school 📚

We had the opportunity this year to help these young men participate in Anchorage School District’s West Anchorage High School JV hockey team 🏒 The Scotty Gomez Foundation loaned gear to each of these young men so they could participate in high school JV hockey 🏒

Impressive some of these kids had never played hockey before & were able to compete 🖤 We were happy to help! This is what it’s all about 🧡 Thanks to Coach Larkey for setting this up. Larkey was Scott’s hockey coach at East High School ❤️💙

According to Scott’s mom, Dalia, “West side is the best side” Scott’s mom graduated from West High 50 years ago! 🫶🏽Class of 1976 🦅 🧡🖤

2 more days of school! 🙏🏽 Time to take a break from hockey & enjoy summer activities! Happy summer! ☀️

End of the Era today 💔 We say goodbye to beloved Crossroads 🫶🏽

Crossroads will forever be one of our favorites bars in Anchorage, Alaska. Scott’s first year with the Devils our family watched all of Scott’s games at the Crossroads because we didn’t have satellite tv. We all love hockey and to think about this time for our family, there’s not much that tops those times! We were blessed to have Scott share the cup with our town twice! Unbelievable years and memories!

Shoutout to all the iron workers local 751 in this picture who continue to be friends with our dad, Carlos and our whole family. This was their hangout back in the day & before Seawolves games 🫶🏽 Shoutout to Crossroads Lounge for all the fun over the years; one of Anchorages old school bars in town & “where friends meet.”

Sad day! Go by there for their send-off celebration! 🍻 Cheers and thanks for all the wonderful times!

Congrats again to Michelle Hofelot & Kim Hatt for winning the 2026 Last Frontier Pond Hockey Classic Weekend with the Kraken Raffle 🎟️ The game they attended was on April 11th against the Calgary Flames🏒
