The 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle The 100 Club of the Tx Panhandle is a Non-Profit standing behind men and women behind the badge.

We are totally supported by your membership donations and the efforts of area fundraisers. We are honored every time a group designates us to receive funds they raise at charity events. We had a great time at The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery tonight as four great sports…Amarillo Police Department’s Sgt Trent Thomas and Cpl. Steven Kennedy along with Randall County Fire Department’s Fire Chief Joe Koch and Potter County Fire-Rescue’s Asst Chief Jonathan Stevens…took on the 72-ounce steak as two-man teams instead of four-man teams. They were hesitant at first but their competitive nature took over and they gave it their best shot! APD’s Thomas and Kennedy ate theirs in under 30 mins. Chiefs Koch and Stevens took home a to-go box. Ziggy Hood took on the 72-ounce steak solo and he too took home a to-go box. It was an entertaining night celebrating Rt66 and the stories it holds! Thanks to NewsChannel10 and GoRoute66 for making sure that The 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle was included as a way to honor those who serve and protect!

Special thanks to Sgt Thomas, Chief Koch, Cpl Kennedy, and Asst Chief Stevens for being all-around great people who always help whenever and wherever needed…even if that’s eating a giant steak as hundreds of people looked on! You guys are the best! 💙❤️

We hear this from our fire departments throughout the Texas panhandle. Volunteer firefighters have to balance their full-time jobs, their families, volunteering as a firefighter, and helping to raise funds so that they can obtain the things they need to fight fires safely and effectively. Trying to provide for a family in today’s economy can require overtime and/or a second job, not leaving much time to volunteer…even though it’s their desire to do so. 😕 This is one of the many reasons why we are so grateful for our members, supporters, and partnerships that help us provide a little help for area volunteer depts.

Fire departments are struggling to recruit volunteer firefighters. Here's what you need to know about the nationwide shortage https://www.investigatetv.com/2026/06/11/volunteer-firefighter-shortage-threatens-communities-nationwide/

At The 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle, we are continually inspired by the generosity and compassion of our community—especially when it comes from our youngest supporters.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to a wonderful young man named Wyatt Kuxhausen who recently sold lemonade and other items, and donated the proceeds to the 100 Club. His thoughtful gift of $150 will help us continue our mission of supporting firefighters and law enforcement officers and their families across the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle.

Not only is he hardworking and generous, but he is also one of the most polite and well-mannered young men you could ever meet. His kindness, character, and willingness to help others are truly inspiring. Thank you, Wyatt, for making a difference and for reminding us that generosity has no age limit. 💙❤️ Ryan Kuxhausen Abby Britten Kuxhausen

Thanks to Sgt Brock Tullos for the photo…and for the selfie! Lol

It was a rainy day at yesterday’s Amarillo Police Department’s Iron Horse Shoot Out but that didn’t stop the riders from making it a great day! The opening ceremony for the biggest day of the event (Saturday) started with a special treat for those driving around the square or setting up for the Canyon Farmers Market. Over 60 motorcycles made a trip around the square before they headed to the competition track at West Texas A & M University. These riders were from across the country, here to compete and show off their expert skills as a rider…but more importantly, to learn new things so they can go home safely to their families at night! They also made a difference for our area first responders because all proceeds from this 4-day event go to benefit The 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle. Thanks so much to everyone who rode, volunteered, sponsored, or just came out to watch!

If you missed it, here are a few cool shots. Thanks to Wynella Christy for capturing several of them as they went around the square.

Yesterday was a fun day at the Iron Horse Shoot Out! We took the riders in two groups to Palo Duro Canyon State Park - Texas Parks and Wildlife to take a look at the scenery and to do a challenge ride (skills and drills challenge). It was incredible to see two groups of about 35 riders each from all over the country ride down to Palo Duro Canyon. Here are just a few cool shots! Thanks so much to everyone who helped make this possible!

As the Iron Horse Shoot Out kicks off, it’s important to recognize the sponsors who help make it possible!

For the past five years, our presenting sponsor, Full Smile Amarillo, has stood beside us every step of the way, helping make the Iron Horse Shoot Out possible from day one. Their unwavering commitment to this event, our mission, and the community has had an impact far beyond the competition itself.

Because of their support, law enforcement officers and civilian riders from across the country come together each year to sharpen their skills, learn from one another, and become safer, more proficient motorcycle riders. Every lesson learned, every skill refined, and every rider who returns home safely to their family is part of the legacy that our presenting sponsor has helped build.

From all of us at the Iron Horse Shoot Out, thank you, Full Smile Dental, for believing in this event from the very beginning and for five incredible years of partnership. We are grateful for your support as a Corporate Lifetime 100 Club member, as a sponsor, and as our friends!
