Ok aside from the cool very wet temps. Yesterday could not have been better. These golfers were crazy but also had the best hearts.
So many happy faces just enjoying doing a really good thing despite the weather. We could not be more uplifted after yesterday. Thank you Tune Up "The Manly Salon" - 2644 Wolflin Ave Amarillo Tx Thank you Michael Graham and Danea Graham, and Jamie and Fara whom I dont have on fb but I hope they get this message for all the hard and loving work leading up to yesterday. To your volunteers who bundled up and faced the rain like it didn't mean anything to yall. To the golfers who persevered and showed up to a full tournament. Our hearts are beyond bursting and thankful to a Heavenly Father who out you guys on ours and our PAF families path.

At the beginning of 2024, we received the worst news a parent could ever hear: our littlr Sofia with just 9-year-old was diagnosed with cancer. What followed were countless hospital days, sleepless nights, fear, tears, financial struggles, and moments when we didn't know how we would keep going. But through it all, we held onto hope, love, and faith. Today, we look back and realize just how strong our little girl—and our family—have been. 🎗️🧡 We fought, we prayed, and we never gave up.

A principios del 2024 recibimos la peor noticia que un padre puede recibir: nuestra pequeña sofia de tan solo 9 años fue diagnosticada con cáncer. Después vinieron incontables días en el hospital, noches sin dormir, miedo, lágrimas, dificultades económicas y momentos en los que no sabíamos cómo seguir adelante. Pero nunca dejamos de aferrarnos a la esperanza, al amor y a la fe. Hoy miramos atrás y nos damos cuenta de lo fuerte que ha sido nuestra pequeña y toda nuestra familia. 🎗️🧡 Luchamos, oramos y nunca nos rendimos.

Today we want to remember the lives of the children that are no longer with us. We invite family members to place a pic and or their child's name in the comments. Many of us associated with Panhandle Angels remember these warrior kids as we cared for them as health care workers, family members, friends, etc. These babies taught each of us what it means to be strong, kind, loving, giving, brave, and sometimes that it is ok to cry and be upset and how to LAUGH when things are not always so great...... They taught many of us what it means to trust Jesus and lean on our Heavenly Father. These kids have also taught the health care world how to care for the children currently being and yet to be diagnosed. They have paved the way in advancing cancer treatment so that more kids can survive and grow into adulthood. I don't think anyone can leave the side of a cancer child and not be effected in some profound way. We love these warriors and miss them for ourselves and their families. We will see you soon though. Oh my gosh, in all the crazy we forgot to thank the behind the scenes folks that made this day happen. Valero Energy of Sunray employees for providng all the gift wishes for 71 kids as well as a little something for each family for groceries, Circle of Friends with Harrington Cancer and Health Foundation for providing all the food and decorations and each family received a keep sake Ginger bread house from them along with the help from Dillard's Amarillo employees Francis Guerra that did a small event and donated money to us. Shelly and Rick Blandford for providing this venue the last 14 years. MTK Foundation for helping provide some of the Christmas goodies. Skyler Davis for getting Santa to us.
