💪 "Laziness" is a such a common misconception projected onto those experiencing homelessness, but people like Keith and Keaton quickly show that's simply not true!

🥦 For the past few months, they've consistently stepped up and helped Rick Wieners out with some intense farm work. They're always ready to help harvest some vegetables and get the job done.

⛳️Our first year as the charity for the Street Toyota Senior Charity Classic golf tournament was a hit! We were so grateful to have been the recipient of such generosity out on the green at Ross Rogers Golf Course Saturday.

🏌🏽‍♂️ Scheryl and Devante are two of our Program Participants who are always ready to help out. Scheryl helped get the golfers checked in quickly, while Devante used his impressive 6'5" wingspan to help sell raffle tickets!

🍩 Shout out to Amarillo ISD for the 18 dozen donuts from Donut Stop! Our people got to enjoy a tasty breakfast with some sweet treats this morning.

💚 Our former Shelter Director, James, snuck in to drop off the goodies himself. We're so proud of his new role as Assistant Principal at Amarillo High, and It's always great seeing a familiar face around these parts!

🦴 Last week was National Give a Dog a Bone Week, but our Pet Supply Drive is open all month long as we prepare for the opening of the Street Center and its Pet Care Space this fall!

👉 We know there’s strength in numbers, so we’re looking for people to host collection sites at their business, workplace, church, or other gathering places.

🛠️ And we’ve made it EASY! We have ready-to-print graphics, supply lists, and instructions to help you get started. Visit our website in the comments and click “Become a Collection Site” to access our mini toolkit.

💚 For people experiencing homelessness, a beloved pet can be one of their greatest sources of companionship and stability — but pets can also be a barrier to accessing services when there’s nowhere safe for them to go.

🐾 Our Pet Care Space is designed to remove that barrier, so people don’t have to choose between seeking help and staying with their best friend.

🏡 Jamie is officially the last of our original Cabin Community Program Participants to move into permanent housing.

👏 Holding down a job, navigating serious medical challenges, and finding a place to call home isn’t easy, but Jamie never gave up.

💚 We’re incredibly proud of her and so thankful for our partnership with Coming Home Partners who helped make this next chapter possible.
