💙 Making a Difference, One Meal at a Time! 💙

Yesterday afternoon, we were excited to sign up The Commons at St. Anthony’s as a partner in Transformation Park’s FoodNET feeding program! 🙌

Through FoodNET, we help provide nutritious meals to hungry seniors and individuals with disabilities in our community. For many, access to a consistent, nourishing meal can be a challenge, and we believe no one should have to wonder where their next meal will come from.

We’re grateful to welcome The Commons at St. Anthony’s to this important mission! When community partners come together, we can reach more neighbors, meet real needs, and show compassion in the name of Jesus. ❤️

Volunteers Needed!

Transformation Park is looking for Meal Delivery Drivers to help us serve our community!

Here’s what we need:
One day per week
Arrive at the kitchen at 10:45am
Deliver meals to a designated site by 11:00am
Drop off the food in cambros and return the cambros to our kitchen.

It is a simple way to make a BIG difference! Your time helps us continue providing meals and compassionate care to those we serve.

What makes Transformation Park unique? City, Church, Commerce & Community—working together at one table.

Each brings what they do best: the City brings public resources and coordination; churches bring faith, compassion, and people ready to serve; commerce/businesses bring expertise, investment, and opportunities; and community members bring their time, talents, relationships, and commitment to their neighbors in need.

Together, we can make greater inroads into Amarillo’s homeless crisis than any of us could alone. That partnership helps turn a safe place to sleep into a starting point for rebuilding a life.

For this unique partnership to work, we must leave our egos and our logos at the door. Because the mission matters more than who gets the credit.

Getting closer every day!

The Joe & Laura Street Center is taking shape, and we can’t wait to open the doors! Each day of progress brings us closer to a place where neighbors can share a meal, learn new skills, connect with resources, and take their next steps toward stability.

A huge THANK YOU to CKP Construction and our fantastic subcontractors for the hard work, craftsmanship, and care you’re putting into this project. You’re helping build a place where lives can change.

🤔 When we pass an unhoused individual on the street, what is our first thought? Sadness? Annoyance? Fear? Compassion?

💚 It's very easy to convolute the deeply rooted crisis of homelessness with the individuals experiencing it first hand. But the reality is that people are not a problem to be solved.

🫂 All of us need community, support, and compassion for when we're struggling (whether we put ourselves in that position or not).

🚨 Street Center Update!

🚧 We have walls, people! If you look closely, you can see our spacious day room and new commercial kitchen. Look out the window and you’ll see The Family Village. There’s even office spaces for both Transformation Park and the City of Amarillo Coming Home Team to closely work hand-in-hand. Can you see it?

🚨 Move out alert!

🏠 In case you missed it, Cas joined us in the Safe Space shortly after we opened in the spring of 2025. After moving into The Cabin Community, she realized she preferred to give her cabin up so that someone else could have the opportunity to move in.

💼 She’s stayed at the Safe Space ever since, and so we’re thrilled that she’s found housing alongside her beloved pup and partner. She stayed motivated finding work through Staffing at KT Black, pursued her security guard card, and even led the charge encouraging her peers at The Shelter to do the same.

🎉 Please join us in congratulating Cas on taking a huge step towards stability by securing housing!

🏠 Cas has been with us from the beginning, eager to work and step in wherever she can. We're so glad she's found housing for herself along with her partner and pup, Kaos!
