What an incredible community we have.

Thanks to the generosity of listeners, businesses, volunteers, and donors, this year's Cash & Cans Drive with our amazing partner, Connoisseur Media, made a lasting impact across the Texas Panhandle.

Together, we collected:
2,436 pounds of food, providing 2,030 meals
$21,732 in donations, providing 108,660 meals

That means a total of 110,690 meals will help families facing hunger across our 29-county service area.

Thank you to Connoisseur Media for once again bringing our community together to fight hunger. We also appreciate Blue Bell Ice Cream, Calico County, McGraw Law Firm, Highland Park Elementary, and everyone who donated, volunteered, shared our mission, or stopped by to support the drive.

Every meal makes a difference, and we're grateful to have a community that continues to show up for our neighbors.

More than 14,000 households turn to High Plains Food Bank for help each month.

Behind that number are children, families, seniors, and veterans who are doing their best to make ends meet. With your help, we can continue to provide food for today and hope for tomorrow.

Join High Plains Food Bank and Connoisseur Media Amarillo for the Cash & Cans Drive TODAY Friday, June 19, until 6 p.m. at the KGNC Building, 3505 Olsen Blvd.

We're accepting canned foods, nonperishable items, and monetary donations.

Every $1 donated can help provide up to 5 meals for our neighbors facing food insecurity across the Texas Panhandle.

Whether you donate a few cans, make a financial gift, or share this post, your support helps ensure that families in our community have access to the food they need.

Special thanks to Connoisseur Media Amarillo, 100.9 The Eagle, KGNC FM, Kgnc-Am, and The Rattler 102.9 for partnering with us in the fight against hunger.

Our 2025 Impact Report is now available.

Last year was one of significant impact for High Plains Food Bank, and none of it happened without the support of our community.

Every donation, volunteer hour, food drive, partnership, and act of support helped us provide food to neighbors across the Texas Panhandle.

This report highlights what we accomplished together in 2025 and the people who made it possible.

Thank you to everyone who invested in our mission and helped strengthen food security in our region.

Travis 6th Grade spent the day at the Food Bank helping out in all kinds of ways!

One group worked in the warehouse sorting surplus food, while the other headed to the Garden to pull weeds, plant green beans, and learn about our chickens and goats. Then the groups switched so everyone got to experience both sides of the day.

This was a hardworking and enthusiastic group, and we loved having them out here. Thanks to all the students and teachers who spent the day serving the community with us!

Big thanks to Bonham Middle School STUCO, Crystal Foster, and the entire student leadership group for spending the day helping us sort surplus food!

Both 7th and 8th grade students volunteered in shifts throughout the day, and every group came ready to work. Their energy, teamwork, and willingness to help wherever needed made a huge difference.

Bonham Middle School has volunteered with us several times this year, and weโ€™re always grateful for their continued support of the Food Bank and our mission.

Thanks again to Bonham STUCO for showing up and giving back to the community!

We loved having the Pantex Quality Managers and special guest Ziva the Corgi ๐Ÿพ out at the Senior Food Box warehouse!

This team jumped right in and helped build and tag an impressive 766 boxes, helping prepare for another Pantex group to come in and pack boxes for seniors across our service area.

Pantex continues to be an incredible partner to the Food Bank, always willing to volunteer, support programs, and step in where needed. Their continued support makes a real difference for the neighbors we serve.

Thanks to the entire team for your hard work and continued partnership!
