Hunger is closer than many of us realize.

Every day, children, families and seniors across the Texas Panhandle face challenges putting food on the table.

At High Plains Food Bank, we're working to make sure our neighbors have access to the food they need. But we can't do it alone.

Your support helps us continue serving thousands of households across our 29-county service area.

Together, we can make a difference right here at home.

Give now and help our neighbors across the Texas Panhandle

Alleviate hunger in the Texas Panhandle with High Plains Food Bank. Donate, volunteer, or find assistance. Together, we can nourish our community.

Meet Rodney!

Rodney is a familiar face at the 50 & Better Program at Warford Community Center, one of High Plains Food Bank’s community partners. Through this program, Rodney enjoys nutritious meals, stays active, participates in activities, and spends time with friends.

“Most of us are widowers, and having a social connection is very important,” Rodney shared.

For many older adults, especially those living on fixed incomes, access to nutritious food and opportunities to connect with others can make a meaningful difference in their daily lives.

Rodney’s story is a reminder that the impact of food goes beyond the meal itself. It brings people together, builds friendships, and helps our neighbors feel connected to their community.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and community partners, we can continue helping neighbors like Rodney across the Texas Panhandle.

A big thank you to the Amarillo Association of REALTORS for giving their time to High Plains Food Bank!

Their group spent time in our warehouse helping sort surplus food and prepare it for distribution to our neighbors across the Texas Panhandle.

They also presented High Plains Food Bank with a generous $1,000 donation, which can help provide 5,000 meals for our neighbors facing hunger.

We are so grateful for community partners who give back in more ways than one. Thank you to the Amarillo Association of REALTORS® for rolling up your sleeves, supporting our mission and helping us continue to feed our neighbors across the Texas Panhandle. 🧡

A whole lot of peanut butter, jelly and kindness! 🧡

Our friends with Our Generations of Love, Inc and The Kindness for Kids Club recently supported High Plains Food Bank with a PB&J drive, collecting an incredible 1,484 pounds of peanut butter and jelly. That’s enough to help provide 1,237 meals for our neighbors across the Texas Panhandle!

But they didn’t stop there. The group also spent time volunteering in our warehouse, packing 144 cases of food that will help provide 4,200 meals for families in our community.

We’re grateful for these young volunteers and their families for choosing to give back, serve their neighbors and make a difference in the fight against hunger.

Thank you, Generations of Love and The Kindness for Kids Club, for supporting High Plains Food Bank and showing that you’re never too young to make an impact!

Tomorrow is Hunger Action Day!

We’re teaming up with The Donut Stop once again for a sweet way to support our neighbors across the Texas Panhandle.

Thank you City of Canyon, TX for proclaiming September as Hunger Action Month, we are incredibly thankful for your support and partnership in the fight against hunger!

September is Hunger Action Month. 🧡

The Canyon City Commission has proclaimed September 2026 as Hunger Action Month, recognizing the impact food insecurity has on families right here in our community.

Each year, more than 3,770 individuals in Canyon rely on food provided through High Plains Food Bank and local partners like The Market on Tierra Blanca.

This month, we encourage residents to learn more, volunteer, donate or simply help spread awareness. Together, we can support efforts to ensure everyone in our community has access to the nutritious food they need to thrive.
