Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds across North America. The 170 Children's Miracle Network Affliliates help kids of every age and background overcome every imaginable disease and injury - from asthma and boken bones to cancer, heart defects, pediatric AIDS, muscualr dystrophy, and serious injuries. Through its year-round efforts to help kids, Children's Miracle Network has raised more than $4.3 billion to date, most of which is raised a dollar or two at a time by caring individuals across North America. Harrington Cancer Foundation has partnered with Children's Miracle Network to help bring the finest pediatric health care to children in Amarillo and High Plains Region. Our service area includes the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle, four counties in New Mexico, three in Oklahoma and one in Kansas. Funds are raised through national partners such as Walmart, Love's Travel Stops, CEFCO Convenience Stores and Dairy Queen, to name just a few, and local events like the annual TRi to Make a Difference Sprint Triathlon and Radiothon and Telethon. Every dollar raised stays in our service area to help families with sick children.

💛💙 $1 MILLION FOR LOCAL KIDS! A MILLION REASONS TO BELIEVE IN MIRACLES! 💙💛

What an incredible day for Children’s Miracle Network of Amarillo and the children and families of the Texas Panhandle!

We are beyond proud to announce a $1 MILLION gift to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Pediatric Fund for Excellence! This investment will help expand access to pediatric specialty care, strengthen local healthcare services, and ensure more children can receive the care they need right here at home. ❤️

One of the most meaningful moments of this announcement was hearing the Melugin family’s powerful testimony. Having walked through not one, but TWO childhood cancer diagnoses with their children, this family knows firsthand what it means to have access to exceptional medical care close to home.

Being able to stay near family, lean on their community, and receive support from CMN throughout their journey made an incredible difference. CMN was also honored to help cover a portion of the family’s medical bills during their children’s cancer diagnoses, easing some of the financial burden while they focused on their children’s care and recovery.

Their story is a beautiful reminder of WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO!

Because when a child is sick, families should be able to focus on what matters most—their child—not the added burden of traveling miles away for care or facing overwhelming medical expenses.

This $1 million investment is about making sure more children, just like the Melugins’, have access to specialty care, ongoing appointments, and the incredible physicians and nurses who dedicate their lives to caring for children in our community.

This AMAZING team went above and beyond during their Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising campaign, earning 1ST PLACE and showing what it truly means to have a heart for local kids! 🏆💛
