Clyde E. Bosket Sr. Park was filled with costumes, candy, music, laughter, and COMMUNITY! Seeing our youth having fun and families coming together reminds us why we do what we do. Every young person deserves a safe space to make memories and feel supported. 🧡

🧡 REAL LEADERSHIP. REAL IMPACT. REAL LIVES SAVED.

We are proud to recognize Zaleeae Sierra, Youth Director at Promise Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley (PNLV) and School Board Director for the Allentown School District, for being featured in CeaseFirePA’s Violence, Interrupted series.

The feature highlights a powerful moment when Zaleeae helped de-escalate a potential act of retaliation, turning a moment of anger and grief into an opportunity for healing instead of more violence.

This is what community violence prevention looks like. It is not always about what makes the headlines. Sometimes, the greatest impact is the tragedy that never happens, the life that is not lost, and the family that never has to receive that devastating phone call.

Zaleeae’s leadership extends beyond titles and positions. Whether advocating for our students, mentoring young people, or showing up during moments of crisis, she continues to demonstrate what it means to lead with courage, compassion, and a genuine commitment to the community she calls home.

🧡 THIS is what violence prevention looks like. This is the work that often goes unseen.

Sometimes, saving a life doesn’t make the headlines. Sometimes, it’s a phone call answered, a conversation that changes someone’s mind, or a trusted voice reminding someone that they have something worth living for.

We are proud to see Promise Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley (PNLV) featured in CeaseFirePA Education Fund’s “Violence, Interrupted” campaign, recently highlighted by WFMZ!

Our very own Michael Richardson, Violence Interrupter and Community Ambassador, shares a powerful story about the importance of trust, relationships, and simply being there when someone needs it most.

This is why credible messengers matter. This is why consistent community investment matters. And this is why violence prevention cannot begin and end after a tragedy.

The goal has always been to stop the violence BEFORE it happens. Every conflict peacefully resolved represents a chance for someone to make it home, for a family to remain whole, and for a community to heal.

We thank CeaseFirePA for shining a light on the people doing this work every day and WFMZ for sharing this important story.
