A big THANK YOU to Allentown Parks & Recreation, APD Police Athletic League (PAL), and Eastern PA Youth Soccer Coach Fernando for partnering with us from September through October to host an amazing soccer clinic!

From skill development to teamwork and sportsmanship, our youth had a great opportunity to learn, grow, and enjoy the game.

We miss our campers! As we look back on an incredible summer, we’re reminded of the smiles, friendships, and unforgettable experiences that made this year’s camp so special.

A very special THANK YOU to Captain Jon Hammel and the Allentown Fire Department for welcoming our campers to the Fire Academy this summer and giving our kids an opportunity to learn, explore, and experience the important work of our first responders firsthand.

We also want to thank all of our amazing community partners, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this summer possible. Your time, generosity, and commitment to our youth make a lasting difference in the lives of the young people we serve.

This is what community partnership is all about—creating positive experiences, building relationships, and investing in the future of our city.

100% of your donations go back to helping our city’s youth.

Thank you for helping us make memories that our campers—and our team—will carry with us long after summer is over!

The Allentown Police Department Traffic and Community Outreach Officers partnered with APD PAL Summer Camp to provide an engaging and educational distracted and impaired driving program for our campers.
The day began with classroom instruction, where campers learned about the serious dangers and consequences of distracted and impaired driving. They then put those lessons into action by participating in hands-on activities using APD’s impairment simulation goggles, which mimic the effects of alcohol and drug impairment.

Campers also had the opportunity to experience our brand-new driving cart, purchased through a grant, which will be used for many future traffic safety training programs at the academy. The interactive course challenged participants to navigate obstacles while experiencing simulated impairment and distractions, reinforcing how quickly poor decisions can impact a driver’s ability to operate a vehicle safely.

The campers had an incredible time while gaining valuable life lessons that they will carry with them for years to come. Thank you to our Traffic Unit officers for making traffic safety education fun, interactive, and memorable. Together, we’re helping build safer roads and a safer community by teaching our youth the importance of never driving impaired or distracted.

🚁 A Special Thank You to the Pennsylvania State Police Aviation Section for flying out to our camp again this year and spending time with our youth!

Our campers had the opportunity to learn about the important role of police aviation and how PSP aircraft provide statewide aerial support for search and rescue operations, vehicle pursuits, criminal tracking, and other critical law enforcement missions.

It was an incredible experience for our youth to see the aircraft up close, meet the professionals who operate it, and learn how aviation plays such an important role in keeping our communities safe.

🚁 Thank you, PSP Aviation, for continuing to support our youth and make memories that they will never forget!
