The NYS Chapters of The Links, Incorporated proudly participated in the Day at the Capitol, on April 28th.

This impactful day provided an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on legislative priorities, connect directly with policymakers, and strengthen our collective voice on issues that matter most to our communities. The Albany District (NY) Chapter members had the privilege of meeting with staff from Senator Pat Fahey and Assemblymember Gabriela Romero’s offices.

In addition to legislative engagement, the day fostered valuable networking with fellow Link sisters, reinforcing our shared commitment to service, advocacy, and civic engagement. Events like these underscore the importance of being present, informed, and active in the policymaking process.

Together, we continue to ensure our voices are heard and our communities are represented.

Thank you for supporting our 4th Annual Black Family Wellness Expo and Speaker's Series.
This event would not have been possible without the support of our host the Troy City School District; our sponsors Albany Med Health System and the Beta Psi Foundation; our donors: Capital District Transportation Authority - CDTA, Capital District YMCA, Price Chopper Supermarkets, MVP Health Care, Troy Waterfront Farmers Market, Honest Weight Food Co-op, and the Regional Food Bank; our 60+ exhibitors including yoga with Nikki B Rogers, screenings through the Baptist Church Choose Healthy Life program and music by ; our Speaker's Series panelists; and every single member of the Albany District Links.

Sharing important information about eliminating health and economic disparities is one way we honor The Links, Incorporated legacy of being friends transforming communities through service. Thank you for coming out and we hope to see you next year!
