Thank you so much for an incredible night of Growing Futures. 💐 This night of connection, joy, and sisterhood was only possible with the amazing support of Kathleen Godfrey and her team at Godfrey Financial Associates. With a program delivered by Board Member Ruth Maresca on the importance of talking with your kids and troops about money, and a visit and remarks from Congressman Paul Tonko, we won't soon forget this night! 💚

Meet Sloan from Altamont (Troop 1198)! As someone who races herself, Sloan saw firsthand how few women there are in motorsports—and decided to do something about it. 🏁

For her Girl Scout Gold Award Project, "Women in Racing," Sloan set out to spread awareness and change the way people see the sport. She created a social media awareness page that racked up nearly 17,000 views, reaching all kinds of audiences and giving them a new perspective on women in racing. 🏎️

She didn't stop online, either. Sloan hosted a "Girl Scout Day" at the racetrack where she competes, talking with younger girls about the sport and showing them there's a place for them on the track. 👏

By opening doors and shifting perceptions, Sloan is helping pave the way for the next generation of women in motorsports. That's the power of the Gold Award! 💛

Meet Molly from Round Lake (Troop 2328)! For her Girl Scout Gold Award Project, Molly tackled a gap she noticed in her community: Chango Elementary School didn't have a musical theater program, even though most other schools in the district did. 🎭

So she did something about it. Molly created the Chango Musical Club, partnering with the school PTA to launch it as part of the March Clubs Program. In its very first year, 23 young performers learned a number from Matilda and took the stage in front of their friends and families. 🎶

The club's success only grew from there—by its second year, 40 children were performing in front of a packed crowd! And thanks to Molly's planning, the program will live on, with high school students stepping up to lead the club for future performances. 👏

Molly didn't just put on a show—she built something lasting that will bring the joy of theater to kids for years to come. That's the power of the Gold Award! 💛
