All New Yorkers deserve the freedom to control their own lives, futures, and health care decisions, such as whether they access abortion care, without government interference.

is a proposed amendment that would close loopholes in the New York state constitution to expand equal rights protections to make sure that no New Yorker can be discriminated against by the government, regardless of gender, sexuality, age, ethnicity, pregnancy status, disability status.

ACOG District II has endorsed Prop 1 and encourages you to and vote on November 5!

District II is honored that Alexis McGill Johnson, president and chief executive officer of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, will deliver the keynote session, The Road Beyond Roe: The Fight for Equity and Freedom in New York, at the 2024 District II Annual District Meeting.

Dr. Johnson brings her expertise as a renowned social justice leader, lifelong political organizer, and a tireless advocate for reproductive rights to a discussion of the broad impact of the Dobbs decision on providers and patients, especially patients of color. She will also discuss the pathway to securing reproductive rights on state and national levels, including New York’s Equal Rights Amendment.
