Congratulations to the Summit Education Initiative on 30 years of impact! For three decades, SEI has used data and partnerships to support students in Summit County from cradle to career.

I’m grateful to Dr. David James, County Executive Ilene Shapiro, Mayor Shammas Malik, and everyone who has helped make this work possible.

When our students succeed, our workforce, our economy, and our communities grow stronger. I’m proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to what’s next.

One resource. Hundreds of opportunities. Countless possibilities for student success. 💙

In 2005, Destination College launched with its first class of juniors at Garfield High School, beginning a 13-month journey designed to prepare students for life after high school.

In 2006, the program expanded to Barberton High School, bringing college access, guidance and opportunity to even more students and families across the community.

Join us on October 15th as we celebrate this milestone and the people, programs and partnerships that have made it possible.
