Over 140 community members joined us for the annual Cleveland Clinic Akron General Towpath 50! 🚴

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our participants, donors, and sponsors we surpassed our fundraising goal, raising 💥 over $31,000 💥 to support the continued development, maintenance, and activation of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail!

A tremendous shout-out and thank you goes to all of our riders and fundraisers, along with our many volunteers for their support in making this event happen. Together, we are creating a legacy for future generations of Towpath Trail users. Now, we gear up for our 17th annual Huntington Towpath Century Ride on September 19-20 where we aim to raise $150,000 for the Towpath Trail ➡️ www.towpathcenturyride.com

Simply hike or bicycle four designated sections of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, submit your contact information and claim your 2026 commemorative pin in collaboration with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company!

Volunteer with us at our next Canal Cleanup this Saturday, August 1 between 9am and noon!

Start your final summer month off on the right foot 👟 by collecting litter around the beautiful Summit Lake near the heart of the 101-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. Trash grabbers, bags and gloves are provided - we could just use your helping hands! 🙌

Enjoy a 25 or 50-mile out and back bicycle ride from Downtown Akron followed by lunch while supporting the Ohio & Erie Canalway, Towpath Trail and connector trails. The event is planned by our staff and a dedicated committee of Associate Board of Emerging Leaders, like Dr. Don Dumford of Cleveland Clinic Akron General:
