Today, we commemorate ๐‘ต๐’Š๐’๐’๐’š ๐‘จ๐’’๐’–๐’Š๐’๐’ ๐‘ซ๐’‚๐’š, a day dedicated to remembering the ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ฒ, ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ, ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ of ๐๐ž๐ง๐ข๐ ๐ง๐จ โ€œ๐๐ข๐ง๐จ๐ฒโ€ ๐€๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ง๐จ ๐‰๐ซ.โ€”a Filipino whose name became deeply connected with the struggle for democracy and freedom in our nation.

Remembering Ninoy Aquino should go beyond remembering the events of the past. His legacy teaches us to reflect on what courage means in our own time. It reminds us that loving our country is not simply about remembering those who came before us, but about recognizing the responsibilities we carry as Filipinos.

We honor Ninoy by valuing the freedoms that past generations fought to protect. We not only honor him, but also those who stood with him, by seeking the truth, standing against injustice, using our voices, and caring for our fellow Filipinos.

May his life continue to remind us that one personโ€™s courage can inspire an entire nation, that sacrifice can give meaning to a cause greater than oneself, and that the pursuit of freedom and democracy is a responsibility that must be carried from one generation to the next.
