On April 8th, 2026, The Social Sciences and Humanities Association spearheaded its flagship event entitled, ‘𝑶𝑩𝑹𝑨 𝑳𝑰𝑲𝑯𝑨 𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑰𝑵𝑮-𝑺𝑶𝑲𝑺𝑨𝒀’ with answering the core question of how do the worlds of the Arts and Social Sciences meet together.

This initiative was meant to bring back the steadfast revival of the organization’s most anticipated events. It brought both insightful and inspirational speakers while also allowing participants to express their personal experiences and advocacies onto their own canvases.

We hope that this will be a renewed beginning as to what the Social Sciences and Humanities Association continues to exemplify and pursue the advancement of its goals.

But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. (1 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 15: 12-20)

On this 𝑬𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓, we are reminded that our hope is not in vain. The Resurrection is not just a promise; it is the very foundation of our faith. Because 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔, sin is defeated, death has no victory, and we are given new life through Him.

“My times are in Your hands;
deliver me from the hands of my enemies,
from those who pursue me.
Let Your face shine on Your servant;
save me in Your unfailing love.” 𝑷𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒎 31:15-16

In the silence of the tomb, we are reminded that even in moments of uncertainty, fear, and darkness, God remains in control. Just as Christ lay in rest before the glory of the Resurrection, we too are called to surrender our worries, our struggles, and our lives into His hands.

This 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒚 𝑺𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒚, may we learn to trust in His perfect timing, to find peace in the waiting, and to believe in His unfailing love, even when we cannot yet see the light. Let His face shine upon us, and may His love carry us from despair into hope.

On this 𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚, we honor our Lord, Jesus Christ, who offered His life for the redemption of our sins. In His final words, “It is finished,” we are reminded that His mission of love, mercy, and sacrifice was fulfilled, not in defeat, but in victory. Through His suffering and death on the cross, He conquered sin and overcame death, opening the path to eternal life for all humanity.
