The University Student Councilโ€“Manila has formally petitioned for the suspension of onsite and online classes on August 18, 2026, in light of the severe flooding, continuous heavy rainfall, and prevailing red rainfall warning affecting our communities.

As the Escolarian community faces challenging conditions, we believe that safety must come first. Suspending classes will give affected students, faculty, and staff the time they need to ensure their safety, attend to their families and homes, and recover from the effects of the flooding.

The USC remains committed to standing with every Escolarian and advocating for their safety, welfare, and well-being.
